For 2012, about everyone that rides a bike or have a passion for everything Italian,here is just something about the names Pinarello, Campagnolo, Cima Campo... Well maybe not the last one, if you have ever done the Gran Fondo  Sporful in Feltre !!!

Based in the small town of Feltre, in the foothills of the Dolomites, this Campagnolo sponsored event is a real must. A superb course takes you over some fantastic climbs and through some of Italy's most treasured countryside. There are several distances to choose from 92, 124 and 208 km all going out on a circular route starting and finishing in the small town of Feltre.

Starting from the town of Feltre (the home of Granfondo  Sportful) on 17th  June 2012  the route quickly climbs into the Dolomites tackling legendary climbs of the Croce D'Aune and Passo di Rolle. The highest point of the route comes after 136 km with the Passo di Valles at 2032m. After 215km you return to Feltre with over 5000m of climbing in the legs!

The other special event is the Gran Fondo Pinarello in Treviso   on 15th July 2012. Pinarello made the frames that carried Miguel Indurain to the 5th Tour de France victories, and more recently supply the very successful Fasso Bortolo team and Alessando Pettachi.

The Gran Fondo Pinarello is the sister event of the Gran Fondo Sportful and takes part over undulating terrain between the southern Dolomites and the Venetian coast.

The event starts and finishes in the town of Treviso, and there is a choice of two distances, either the 202km Gran Fondo or the 129km Medio Fondo. There will also be a 50km Gourmet ride for leisure riders who love to taste the regions food.
Finally the other ride event is the new La Prosecco Cycling Classic  (Granfondo del Prosecco) on October 7th in Valdobbiadene.

The eighth edition of the Prosecco Cycling Classic  will take place on October 7th 2012, starting from and arriving in Valdobbiadene passing through the ascend to Arfanta in the heart of proseccoland region.

The two route options, 128km (2100m of climbing) and 68km (980m of climbing), wind through the vineyards that produce the delicious Prosecco sparkling wine.
Situated at the foot of the Dolomite Alps the rolling hills between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano are marked by winding roads that stretch through lush fields of Prosecco grapes. Since the early 1800s, the Prosecco grape has been cultivated exclusively in the hilly region of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in the province of Treviso, where the combination of loam rock, sandstone, a southern exposure of the hills, and the mild climate creates the ideal environment for the robust vine. This year a gift made from forged steel will be awarded to the participant that has traveled the furthest distance to the event.

On the eve of the competition, cyclists that decided to book a room at Boutique Hotel dei Chiostri  are welcomed to visit  Villa Sandi, in Crocetta del Montello  where, through tastings of local products and guided visits to the wineries, the 10 km wines gallery and the Palladian Villa, they can discover one of the most typical products of the rich range of foods and wines of Treviso area: Prosecco.
